Giving The Gift Of Theatre

In conjunction with personal philanthropy movement #GivingTuesdaySG, W!LD RICE gave hundreds of underprivileged children the gift of theatre this Christmas season.

With the help and support of many generous individuals, 580 children, parents, staff and volunteers from 12 homes and charities watched our holiday pantomime, Jack & The Bean-Sprout!, for free.

The beneficiaries included Children Cancer Foundation, KK Hospital, St Joseph Home, ARC Children Centre, HELP FSC, Beyond Social Services, Down Syndrome Association, Singapore Children’s Society, Silver Ribbon Singapore, Muhannadiyah Children Home, Pertapis Centre for Women and Girls, and the Little Arts Academy.

“We were thrilled to have the opportunity to give these children the priceless gift of theatre,” says Ivan Heng, Artistic Director of W!LD RICE and director of this year’s pantomime. “It’s such a joyful experience, and hopefully we gave them some wonderful memories!”
