Ten years ago, veteran theatre actor Karen Tan performed in the first ever W!LD RICE pantomime, Cinderel-lah!. Later this year, she'll reprise her role as the Golden (Hits) Harp in Jack & The Bean-Sprout!. As a writer, Joel Tan has tried his hand at many genres. He's won prizes for his poetry and fiction, and written electrifying, thought-provoking plays like Family Outing, which was staged at W!LD RICE's Man Theatre Singapore Festival. FIRST STAGE Kids Rehearse for Jack!

It's always a joy – and a challenge – to get our FIRST STAGE kids all ready for the pantomime. From 9-11 September 2013, we gathered the 50 kids who will be joining us onstage in Jack & The Bean-Sprout! for a song-and-dance workshop led by musical director Elaine Chan and choreographer Richard Chia. Director Ivan Heng was also on hand to share some insights into performing with our eager cast of FIRST STAGE Kids.
