An Important Update on Faghag

Dear Audience,

We regret to inform you that Wild Rice will be cancelling our upcoming production of Faghag as Pam Oei, our leading lady, tested positive for COVID-19 this morning.

In a year of heart-breaking decisions, this is the easiest one we have had to make. The health and wellbeing of our audiences, cast and crew is Wild Rice’s priority.  We have and will do everything in our power to keep everyone who joins us at our theatre safe.

Please rest assured that Pam is healthy and well – she is fully vaccinated and asymptomatic. Nonetheless, we will be cancelling the show as a precaution. As part of our rigorous safety protocols, our performing arts complex will undergo deep-cleaning over the next few days. We will also be monitoring the health of everyone on our Faghag team, who are tested regularly in line with the latest government regulations on live performances.

To all affected audience members – please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. We know how many of you were looking forward to this show, and it breaks our hearts to have to disappoint you. We will be offering full refunds for all tickets purchased. Please check your email for details, which will be sent to you via SISTIC.

Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for supporting Wild Rice and Singapore’s theatre community throughout these difficult times. We need your support now, more than ever.

We are all learning how to live with this virus, now that it is among us, and we hope you will continue to trust us to keep you and your loved ones safe when you join us at the theatre.

Ivan Heng
