Like the circus, the theatre is a place full of magic, surprise and possibility. It is also a community – an inclusive wonderland where everyone feels welcome. For 26 years, Wild Rice has worked hard to offer a home just like this one to our audiences and artists.
The Rice Ball is so much more than a party. It is an essential life support system for Wild Rice. Making theatre in Singapore is as precarious as walking a tightrope. Ticket sales and grant funding cover only a fraction of our operating costs, and every dollar we raise at the Rice Ball will quite literally help us keep the lights on.

The dress code for the evening is When the Circus Comes to Town. Come in your most gorgeous, most glam, most magical big-top finery. Think ringmasters and showgirls, acrobats and aerialists, magicians and strongmen, clowns and bearded ladies, leaping lions, performing penguins and zany zebras. The more spectacular, the better!

The all-star concert is a highlight of the Rice Ball, and next year is no exception. Your favourite stars from Singapore’s stages, including Pam Oei, Hossan Leong and Dwayne Lau, will light up the night – backed by a fabulous band led by Maestro Julian Wong.
Savour a delectable feast dreamt up by a celebrity guest chef, in collaboration with the world-class chefs of Shangri-La Singapore.
Round off the evening on the dance floor and groove to electrifying beats spun by DJ Keith Colaco!

Donation tables are available at $25,000, $18,000, $13,000 and $10,000. A limited number of individual seats are also available at $1,300 each. As Wild Rice is a not-for-profit Singapore charity, all donations are eligible for 250% tax deduction.
