Siblings Bedah and Zeina and their neighbour Aida have been close since young. They have a sisterhood: Sharing secrets. Uplifting each other. Trusting without question. Laughter, mischief and loyalty. Their bond is unbreakable.
But what happens when ‘life’ happens? Zeina walks away from her thriving company to follow her conscience as an activist. Bedah must give up her childhood dream because of family obligations. Aida’s personal life gets entangled with the two sisters. Life gets messy. The solidarity begins to crack. They are filled with suspicion, betrayal and shame.
Will these three queens be able to reconnect? Recapture what they had before? What will it take to save their sisterhood? They may be able to forgive each other. But can they forgive themselves?
Haresh Sharma’s latest play is a gripping and moving exploration of sisterhood, faith and empathy. Co-directed by Sharma and Adib Kosnan, 3 Queens features a stellar cast of Munah Bagharib, Siti Hajar Gani, and Siti Khalijah Zainal.
