Prepare for an unforgettable evening as we turn up the heat for our 25th birthday extravaganza!
To tantalise your tastebuds, the chefs of Shangri-La Singapore will collaborate with our renowned guest chef to showcase the finest of Singapore’s cuisine.
You can look forward to a gala performance that is, true to form, the highlight of every Rice Ball – dreamt up by our Co-Artistic Directors Ivan Heng and Glen Goei, and our irrepressible Mistress of Ceremonies, Pam Oei. This year, an 8-piece orchestra comprising Singapore’s best musicians, led by Maestro Julian Wong, will accompany a stellar lineup of stars including Benjamin Chow, Mae Elliessa, Frances Lee, Hossan Leong, Oon Shu An, Ebi Shankara and Siti Khalijah Zainal. Bringing the evening to a climax, DJ Keith Colaco promises to get you on your feet and dancing into the early hours of the morning!
The dress code for the night is Damn DRAMA: Go BIG and Go WILD! Come glammed up in your wildest, most outrageous outfit to shine, to shock, and to surprise!
25 Years of Groundbreaking Theatre
Over the past 25 years, Wild Rice has blazed a trail as Singapore’s leading theatre company. Through the theatre we make, we have proudly told our stories, championed our artists, and inspired young people and children.
- Since our founding in 2000, we have presented more than 170 productions, and entertained over a million audiences in Singapore and all over the world. Each year, the company presents up to 10 homegrown works, creating job opportunities for more than 500 freelance theatre professionals, ensuring a vibrant and sustainable local arts scene.
- Each year, our Youth & Education division inspires more than 5,000 students and young people through our unique programmes, including our Academy, Singapore Youth Theatre and Young & Wild.
- In 2019, we opened our performing arts complex at Funan, providing a home for Singapore theatre in the heart of Singapore’s civic district. With the benefit of operating our own independently-run space, we have expanded our outreach and accessibility initiatives to welcome audiences from all backgrounds – including those who are underprivileged, deaf, blind and neurodiverse – to our shows.
