Solace is a charity concert jointly organized by a team of Singaporean youths from Project Gift of Song (PGoS) and the Nanyang Technological University Piano Ensemble (NTUPE). This endeavor will mark an unprecedented collaboration between like-minded youths in Singapore from tertiary institutions and the community who have a passion for music.
With music being a universal language intertwined with several emotions and memories, we hope to leverage an evening of music to promote discussion on matters in palliative care as well as raise awareness of the role music can play to bring solace to individuals and their families at the end of life.
Furthermore, this concert aims to raise funds in support of the wish-granting efforts of Ambulance Wish Singapore, a charity that supports terminally ill patients and their loved ones through the simple but deeply meaningful act of wish-granting.
ABOUT THE CHARITY
Ambulance Wish Singapore (AWS) is the Singapore chapter of the global Ambulance Wish Foundation which originated in the Netherlands and has been fulfilling the wishes of terminally ill patients since 2006.
Started in 2019, our independent charity supports terminally ill patients and their loved ones through the simple but deeply meaningful act of wish-granting. The work of AWS takes care for the dying beyond the walls of hospitals and hospices to impact homes and hearts.
