Since its inception in 2003, Wild Rice’s annual musical/pantomime has become one of the highlights of Singapore’s theatre scene. This holiday season, we will be welcoming audiences to Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, which was last staged in Singapore in 2008. This production will be directed by Hossan Leong, with a book and lyrics by Alfian Sa’at and music by Elaine Chan.
Wild Rice’s renowned First Stage programme is the only one of its kind in Singapore. It provides promising young talents with the perfect opportunity to learn, grow and gain invaluable performing experience in a professional creative environment. Successful auditionees will get the unique opportunity to work with some of the best theatre-makers in the country on a homegrown theatre production. Over the past two decades, more than 150 children have benefited from our First Stage programme, performing alongside Singapore’s finest performers for an audience of over 200,000 people.
We are looking for children from the ages of 5 to 10 who can sing and dance. Interested candidates must be able to commit to the following dates:

CAST ALBUM RECORDING:

Auditions will be held on 16 & 17 March, Thursday & Friday (10am – 5pm).
All interested candidates should first submit:
1. The following videos:
- A one-minute video of you singing a song of your choice accompanied by a minus-one or simple piano backing track. Please do not submit acappella videos.
- A one-minute video of you dancing to a hip-hop song.
2. Performance résumé (in PDF format)
3. Headshot (taken within the last 6 months)
4. Full body shot (taken within the last 6 months)
Do state your height in metres for our reference.
Please e-mail your submission to production@wildrice.com.sg. Your email should contain a Google Drive link to a folder containing all the necessary materials. Your email subject should read ‘Snow White First Stage Audition (Your Name)’.
Applications must be submitted by 8 March 2023 (Wednesday), 7pm. Please do not call to apply.
Candidates will then be shortlisted for in-person auditions on 16 or 17 March, Thursday or Friday (10am – 5pm).
If your child has been shortlisted for an in-person audition, Wild Rice will contact you by 10 March 2023 (Friday).
