Singapore and Malaysia: Reunited? The casts and creative team of Another Country take a bow!

The Gala Night performance of Another Country was a truly bilateral, cross-cultural affair. Artists from Singapore and Malaysia worked together to breathe new life into the words and works of fifty writers from both sides of the Causeway. Some of these wordsmiths – Chng Suan Tze, Stella Kon, Dr. Lee Tzu Pheng, Leong Liew Geok, Suchen Christine Lim, Alfian Sa’at, Haresh Sharma, Denyse Tessensohn, Illangoh Thanabalan and Eleanor Wong – were in the audience that night.

The show, co-directed by Ivan Heng and Jo Kukathas, was a thrilling, thought-provoking blend of literature and theatre that stayed with our guests even as they headed for a delicious late supper (catered by the fine folks at Purple Sage) in the foyer of the Drama Centre Theatre. Grab your passport and head into Another Country with us!

Another Country is a celebration of writers and their words –
it was only fitting that they took a bow during the curtain call.
