The magic of The Ngee Ann Kongsi Theatre begins from the moment you take your seat. Each of our 358 seats has been custom-manufactured by a specialist in Barcelona to meet our venue’s complex technical and acoustic requirements. These seats have held the laughter and the tears of our audiences from all walks of life, as they come together in our theatre to experience what it is to be human.
In return for your donation, you will be able to inscribe a name or personalised message on a plaque that will be prominently displayed for 10 years on one of our seats.

These seats have held the laughter and the tears of our audiences from all walks of life, as they come together in our theatre to experience what it is to be human.
Despite the monumental challenges posed by the pandemic, we have forged ahead in our mission to present the best of Singapore theatre. In 2021 alone, we inspired over 19,000 audience members with no less than 18 heartfelt, distinctively local productions. At the same time, we provided gainful employment to our fellow artists in the performing arts industry, creating over 550 jobs on stage and off. And our work continues still.

To celebrate Wild Rice’s 25th anniversary, Jeanette Tan – a founding Plant A Seat donor – has generously donated 19 seats in our theatre to be Re-Planted. This means that you now have the opportunity to make your mark in our beautiful home for Singapore theatre!
In return for your donation, you will be able to inscribe a name or personalised message on a plaque that will be prominently displayed for 5 years on one of our seats. Moreover, your contribution will have double the impact, as it will be matched by the Tote Board under our Celebrating 25 Wild Years fundraising campaign. All donations are also eligible for 250% tax deduction.
