RICE BALL 2011: People’s Acting Party!

21 Oct 2011

Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore

First staged in 2002, W!LD RICE’s annual Fundraising Gala has established itself as one of the most talked about and highly anticipated events of the Singapore social calendar. Stylish, sophisticated, entertaining and fun, 2011’s RICE BALL was kindly sponsored by Franck Muller.

The theme for 2011’s RICE BALL was “People’s Acting Party” – classic tongue-in-cheek W!LD RICE and inspired by the excitement of the 2011 elections. Very apt for a leading theatre company that has endeared itself to the hearts and minds of the PEOPLE of Singapore. Indeed, W!LD RICE has served the community for over a decade through creating shared experiences in theatre, championing local artists, nurturing and developing young talents, and building audiences of the future.

The Island Ballroom, elegantly awash in white, was transformed into a dazzling canvas for the festivities. As always, the chefs of the Shangri-La Hotel went all out to titillate taste buds; serving up a scrumptious Singapore menu with a tantalizing twist. The dress-code for the evening was “Wild and Witty in White (of course!)”.
