Boeing Boeing

1 – 20 Oct 2002

Jubilee Hall, Raffles Hotel Singapore

Bernard, a swinging yuppie bachelor, with an insatiable appetite for women, thinks he can easily cope with three air stewardess girlfriends. It’s all a question of juggling their timetables and the brilliant assistance of Imelda, his reliable down-to-earth maid, who never forgets to change the photographs in the bedroom.

Everything proceeds like clockwork, until the arrival of the new “Super Boeing” (at double the speed!) and he is landed with a triple problem on his hands!

His old school friend Robert arrives unexpectedly and joins them in a hysterical whirl of confusion and matchmaking.

BOEING BOEING is a hilarious, side-splitting, roll-down-the-aisles comedy written in the farcical comedy tradition. It holds the record for being the longest running comedy in the history of French theatre (over 35 years!), as well as on London’s West End. It also became a successful Hollywood movie starring Tony Curtis and Jerry Lewis. In this W!LD RICE version of BOEING BOEING, director Glen Goei will adapt the play to a local contemporary setting in his own inimitable style.
