CH!LL! PADI is W!LD RICE’s Education and Outreach Division, dedicated to children, youths and the community at large. CH!LL! PADI offers fresh approaches to arts education through the application of professional theatre processes tailored to specific community and student needs.

CH!LL! PADI was born from W!LD RICE’s conviction that the arts can and will enrich and empower our lives, and that artists play a vital part in community building and education. Through CH!LL! PADI, we aim to bring the arts to schools and the community in unique and exciting ways.

In just 3 years since its formation, CH!LL! PADI’s various arts education and outreach programmes have already benefited over 33,000 children, youths and heartlanders, and brought theatre magic to over 33,000 schools! Our diverse programmes range from theatre exposure activities and touring school shows to tailor-made theatre workshops and full-scale collaborations on school productions.

CH!LL! PADI is overseen by Jonathan Lim, W!LD RICE’s Associate Artistic Director.

Objectives
With every CH!LL! PADI programme, we seek to:

•	Inspire creativity, provoke thought and encourage self-expression in young Singaporeans;
•	Encourage Singaporeans to re-examine our lives, our changing environment, our community and our selves;
•	Convey important social messages with depth and empathy;
•	Develop appreciation for the art of theatre and the creative processes behind it, through interactive and experiential activities;
•	Give young audiences the chance to learn the life-skills that a collaborative art like theatre can instill, such as self-discipline, attention to detail, open-mindedness, collaborative skills etc.
•	Identify and nurture future talents for Singapore’s arts scene;
•	Make theatre an integral and exciting part of the new Singaporean lifestyle.
