|  CH!LL! PADI is W!LD RICE’s Education and Outreach Division, dedicated to children, youths and the community at large. CH!LL! PADI offers fresh approaches to arts education through the application of professional theatre processes tailored to specific community and student needs.
W!LD RICE firmly believes that the arts can and will enrich and empower our lives, and that artists play a vital part in community building and education. Through CH!LL! PADI, we aim to bring the theatre to schools and the community in unique and exciting ways.
Since 2002, CH!LL! PADI’s exciting arts education and outreach programmes brought theatre magic to over 200 schools, for the benefit of more than 250,000 children and youth! Our diverse programmes range from Arts Exposure Plays to Arts Experience Workshops to Arts Excursion Trips to Full-scaled Customised School Productions.
CH!LL! PADI is overseen by a new Artistic Director, Judy Ngo.
Objectives
With every CH!LL! PADI programme, we seek to:

ARTS EXPERIENCE WORKSHOPS
W!LD About Acting
This fun, exciting and creative workshop will introduce students to the process of acting! From imagination to self and stage awareness, students will learn voice projection, character creation and performance. Through the process, they will gain confidence, take risks and establish team work.
W!LD About Theatresports
If winning isn’t everything and losing doesn’t matter, all that is left is to create and to have fun during the process. W!LD About Theatresports is an exciting introduction to Theatresports. Theatresports originated in the United States and the most famous example of it is “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. W!LD about Theatresports is based on the programme but catered to local students. Students will learn the various different types of theatresports games which are catered to free the imagination, encourage spontaneity and build team work. Through playing and learning from these games, they will also build confidence and important life skills like listening to and respecting their peers.
ARTS EXCURSION TRIPS
W!LD Day @ W!LD RICE
This excursion will help the students understand what it takes to run a theatre company in Singapore. They will be exposed to behind-the-scene workings of a theatre company and will be giving a walking tour of W!LD Rice’s premises. They will also either witness an actual professional rehearsal or participate in an acting workshop run by a professional actor. Come discover the magic of a working theatre company right in the heart of Little India.
W!LD Day @ W!LD Rice + 2 Workshops
This excursion will help the students understand what it takes to run a theatre company in Singapore. They will be exposed to behind-the-scene workings of a theatre company and will be giving a walking tour of W!LD Rice’s premises. They will also either witness an actual professional rehearsal or participate in an acting workshop run by a professional actor. Finally, they will also be treated to an exclusive production workshop which they will learn the basic skills of putting together a professional theatrical production. Come discover the magic of a working theatre company right in the heart of Little India.
W!LD Day @ The Theatre
This excursion will help the students understand the backstage workings of a performance in a local theatre. They will be exposed to behind-the-scene workings of a professional performance. They will be able to meet the actors and backstage crew up-close and personal. Come discover the backstage magic of putting together a stage production.
All workshops can be custom made to suit your students from Primary to Polytechnic level, except W!LD about Theatresports which is only suitable for secondary students and above.
CUSTOMISED SCHOOL PRODUCTIONS
W!LD About Performance
This is a consultation and directing programme where a professional trainer from W!LD Rice will train, guide and direct the students in a production that is solely of their own creation. The process will begin with script writing and will eventually cumulate to a final production which the school can even sell tickets to.
